ROSEMARY SHRAGER COOKS UP A STORM AT CHATEAU LOU CASTEOU
Six-night Gastronomic Experience planned for 11 - 17 October 2014
Luxury residence Chateau Lou Casteou in the Cote D’Azur, South of France, has partnered up with renowned Celebrity Chef Rosemary Shrager, to host an exclusive food and wine appreciation event at the property, this October 2014.
The six-night, all-inclusive break will run from Saturday 11th October to Friday 17th October, 2014.
Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy excellent cuisine, appreciate the beauty of the South of France and learn how to prepare classic dishes. Rosemary and her Executive Chef John Rogers will take guests on a journey of gastronomic delights.

There will be a focus on food and wine pairing, BBQ and butchery master-classes will be taught by John and Rosemary will hold daily cookery sessions. Guests can also enjoy visits to the famous Fortville Market with all the wonderful array of fresh produce. There will also be visits to an olive oil farm handed down through generations, provincial vineyards to experience wine tasting and a Michelin-starred restaurant, during your stay.
The price per couple is £5,650 per couple or 2 sharing and £3,250 for a single guest to attend.
Rosemary’s professional career includes working for internationally acclaimed Pierre Koffmann - at the famous Tante Claire restaurant in London and also Chef Jean-Christophe Novelli. She later became Head Chef at Amhuinnsuidhe Castle from 1998 till 2002, running her renowned cookery course for hundreds of eager students over the four years. After which point she moved to Swinton Park, where she led her cookery courses for ten years.
Rosemary took to the ‘I'm a Celebrity’ jungle in November 2012 and endeared herself even further to the nation, proving she can cook just about anything, anywhere. With over a decade in broadcasting and teaching, Rosemary Shrager’s role in ITV1’s ‘Ladette to Lady’ cemented her position as Britain's best loved chef and cookery teacher. Rosemary Shrager’s ‘School for Cooks’ aired for two seasons on ITV1 whilst ‘Castle Cook’ was the series that first introduced Rosemary to TV formally in the summer of 2000. Rosemary remains a very popular TV chef appearing on ‘This Morning’ and ‘The Alan Titchmarsh Show’, whilst also presenting ‘Royal Upstairs Downstairs’, which aired on BBC 2.
Lou Casteou, which means ‘The Chateau’ in old Provençal French, was built in 1904 by Lord Amherst of Hackney - a lover or antiquities who funded the Howard Carter expeditions to Egypt, and the discovery of Tutankhamen’s tomb. The property is situated in the Esterel Mountains between Cannes and St. Tropez, and enjoys breath-taking views of the ocean and picturesque villages below. Amongst other accolades, Lou Casteou was selected by Simon Cowell as his ‘judge’s house’ on The X Factor in 2011. The chateau is also available to hire for weddings, conferences and special events throughout the year.
